Along the way, you’ll gain practical strategies to manage audio effectively in the classroom and support a wide range of student activities.

How You’ll Learn
- Interactive lessons, video based resources
- Guided practice across a range of real world audio scenarios
- Developing skills in setting up, capturing, and managing sound for different uses
Assessment Tasks
- Apply audio skills and knowledge in 3 genuine industry style tasks:
- Provide videos and photos of you operating a PA system for a live performance, which must include a minimum of 3 inpts and 1 send of foldback
- Field recording to create a high-quality ambient soundscape of your own design
- Timed execution of an audio cue sheet for a live radio play, including music, sound effects and dialogue (in Soundtrap or your chosen DAW)
- Complete project documentation as required
- Complete quizzes to demonstrate your understanding
Duration
Depending on your level of existing skills and knowledge, we recommend that you allow 25 – 30 hours to complete this course. The course must be completed within 5 months of the enrolment date.

- Apply fundamental audio skills across performance, recording, and playback situations
- Confidently operate basic audio equipment and systems
- Support classroom and performance activities using practical audio workflows
