How You’ll Learn
- Interactive lessons, video based resources
- Guided practice recording and mixing music demos using multiple inputs and overdubs
- Experimenting with techniques to achieve professional sounding results and meet project goals
Assessment Tasks
- Record and mix two songs, which can be completed in separate demo sessions or as part of the same session, demonstrating:
- Use of at least two inputs and two overdubs per recording
- Mixing according to a production brief
- Write a purpose statement for each demo explaining the intended outcomes
- Complete quizzes to demonstrate your understanding
Duration
Depending on your level of existing skills and knowledge, we recommend that you allow 25 – 30 hours to complete this course. The course must be completed within 5 months of the enrolment date.

- Produce clear and balanced music demos in a school setting
