This course explores using digital tools, effects, and software to enhance musical expression and audience engagement. You’ll develop practical experience with technology in a performance setting, experimenting with different approaches to complement and elevate your music. You’ll also learn strategies to support, accommodate, and assess students presenting performances that incorporate technology, helping you confidently guide learning in the classroom.

How You’ll Learn
- Interactive lessons, video based resources
- Guided practice applying technology in real performance scenarios
- Experimentation with different music tech tools to shape sound and dynamics
Assessment Tasks
- Complete two live performances incorporating music technology, each including:
- Use of at least one digital instrument or software instrument
- Application of effects or processing to enhance the performance
- Submit production documentation for each performance
- Complete quizzes to demonstrate your understanding
Duration
Depending on your level of existing skills and knowledge, we recommend that you allow 20 – 25 hours to complete this course. The course must be completed within 4 months of the enrolment date.
